Answer: you need to put stress in perspective. When you’re feeling stressed, think of:
– the millions of people who live on the street
– the millions of people who don’t have food to eat
– the millions of people who are disabled (and despite your challenges you have great health in comparison)
– the millions of people who left us early in this world
– the progress you have made as a human being in the last year
– the impact you’re leaving to people in this world. It will be a better place when you’re gone
– the progress of learning you’ve made in the last year
– think of your family and how much they love you
– make a list of things you’re grateful for
I can keep going but all of a sudden your energy will change from stress to gratefulness and now you’re ready to rock.
Then chunk stuff together into group of things to do, realize you are only working on a few major thing (lots of little things but only a few major things, the things that really matter).
Choose the ‘thing’ you don’t want to do, do it first!
Result = STRESS GONE!
