Our Urban Signature Massage Therapy services were developed in-house through collaboration between our Registered Massage Therapists and esthetics team. Each treatment combines massage techniques with spa-inspired elements to create a more immersive treatment experience.
Many of these services were inspired by our team’s travels, local environments, and different wellness traditions. Whenever possible, we also create or adapt products in-house to suit our climate, seasonal needs, and treatment approach.
From Australian-inspired treatments to ideas drawn from India and Canada’s boreal forests, each Signature Urban Service brings its own techniques, products, and experience to The Urban Spa.
All Signature Massage Therapy services are provided by a Registered Massage Therapist. An official RMT receipt will be provided for extended health benefits, where applicable.

Every massage therapy treatment also includes a hot towel, giving you a comfortable and refreshing way to finish your appointment.

Thermal Foot Experience
This treatment is perfect for those with plantar fasciitis, poor circulation, tired, sore feet, or just love a good foot massage. A combination of relaxing essential oils, hot towels, hot stone massage, and a cool, refreshing balm to finish, treats the feet and lower legs to relax tense muscles, increase circulation and soothe soreness. This treatment is available on its own at 30 minutes, or combined with a Swedish massage to make it 60 or 90 minute experience.

Thermal Arm Experience
This treatment is perfect for people who work with their hands and arms, whether its computer work, physical labour or repetitive tasks. It incorporates hot towels, hot stones and heated bamboo to melt away tension, allowing the therapist to work deeper into tight muscles. We finish with our Medistik cooling gel to soothe and flush out the tissues and provide a pain relieving and anti-inflammatory effect. *This incredible Massage Therapy experience was designed by our very own, Stuart Bell.
This treatment is available on its own at 45 minutes, or combined with a Swedish massage to make it 75 minute experience.

Macadamia Boomerang Body Glow
This 75 minute full body treatment combines the relaxing strokes of a massage with the exfoliating effects of our Macadamia nut oil scrub and body lotion. Lime Blossom scrub sloughs away dry skin, hot towels cleanse and refresh the skin, and Hydra-Opulence macadamia nut lotion moisturizes and soothes the skin.
This Australia inspired treatment uses products exclusively from a family owned Macadamia Nut farm, and incorporates a boomerang to massage tense muscles, leaving you relaxed, with smooth, moisturized and glowing skin! This treatment is available in a 75 minute experience.

Boreal Massage Therapy
An excellent treatment for Sinus problems, headaches and TMJ problems. This treatment helps relieve pain and congestion. The contrast of hot and cold helps by encouraging cleansing and nourishment, pushing fluid and wastes out of the tissue. The coolness of the stones acts as a powerful decongestant to help diffuse inflammation, help relieve puffiness and dark circles around the eyes, and improve skin tone. *Designed by Kerri Holley of The Urban Spa.

Hot Stone Massage Therapy - Temporarily NA
Our hot stone massage experience uses the placement of stones with massage strokes to key points on the body, creating comfort and warmth. The direct heat relaxes muscles, allowing manipulation of a greater intensity without it being a deep tissue experience. You get similar benefits to a deep tissue massage without the discomfort. *Designed by Kerri Holley of The Urban Spa

In this unique and rare body treatment, the bamboo is heated and is used to roll and knead away aches and pains from stress and repetitive movements. If you are looking for more pressure than just a relaxation massage, this is a terrific way to experience the deep tissue feel, but without the traditional soreness. The direct heat relaxes muscles, allowing the bamboo to help melt away your tension. Indie Experience
The Indie Head Massage is a form of massage therapy based on the ancient healing system of Ayurveda which focuses on the muscles and connective tissues of the face, neck, scalp, and shoulder area. This 45 minute service can be used to treat most issues of the head, neck and shoulders, including headaches, TMJ pain, tension and trigger points.
In addition to the above benefits, the oil blend used on the hair and scalp is very nourishing and moisturizing and actually acts as a secondary treatment to condition your hair. With added essential oils of Rosewood, Galbanum & Basil from our facial line, it helps to uplift and ground.

Your RMT can provide a full-body treatment or focus on specific areas such as the neck, shoulders, back, hips, or legs. Pressure and techniques can be adjusted throughout your appointment based on your comfort level and treatment goals.

Our Deep Tissue massage increases in intensity during the entire massage and targets more specific muscle groups to diminish the effects of chronic tension. This massage promotes circulation and relaxation while penetrating deeper to help alleviate persistent aches and pains. This is a wonderful selection for those who work at a desk during the day, or who are frequently on the run.
